My father, Ed Cole, and our family launched this ministry in 1977. He was near the age when most men retire, but God had given him a word from the Lord to reach the men of the nation. I went to the courthouse and paid $34 cash for the incorporation. My sister Joann was already producing brochures and tape series, my Mom keeping records, praying, and counseling, my sister Lois reviewing legal needs. Defeating the attack on the family began with a family. Dad was told it wouldn't work. Others, like Harold Bredesen and Campbell McAlpine, said it was a word from God. Then, in a public meeting,...

I was with Eddy Leo ministering in Amsterdam. At four am, in the dark Dutch morning, I was jerked awake with a terrible dream. My first grandson was just two years old, and in my dream, he was being abused.  Troubled and prayerful, I knew immediately I was in the presence of the Lord. I was crying, my heart was beating hard. In an instant I knew Cameron was safe at home with his parents, but what I heard from the Lord was, “Boys and girls across the world are being abused right now. They need fathers.”  My heart broke. Watching the deadly battles happening in the Middle East and around the world reminded me of my own experience as a reporter in a war zone and the power of fear in the hearts of people. I first heard the term “Asymmetrical Warfare” while videotaping in Southern Lebanon with the Israeli Defense Forces in early 2006. Battles were raging with Hezbollah and its terrorist allies. We drove through battlefields, saw missiles hit Haifa and learned firsthand the nature of this type of warfare. Asymmetrical means “without predictable order.” Early one evening, my crew and I arrived at a home hit...

As a new NFL season kicks off this week I was reminded of this story. Clint Gresham, all American kid, could have ended up dead. Instead, he became a Super Bowl champion, team captain, a Maximized Man and a CMN ally. Clint was on the winning side as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. But he was far from winning as a man. Rejected by his stepdad, his youth was a mess of alcohol and mayhem. Even though he attended church as a kid, nothing was real until Jesus captured him through the powerful words of a friend. A friend’s...

Days before he died, my father Ed Cole asked me, “Are you gonna keep it going?” I told him YES. And then I added, “and it won’t just be me.” In myself, I’m limited. What sustains CMN is a team—a true network where each of us uses our gifts and talents for the single cause or reaching men for Christ and discipling them. The result of working together is success in over 100 nations for almost 50 years. And we’re still working. We’re a network, a team, a tribe—a brotherhood. Your personal gift or talent from God makes a difference...
