We so often say to each other, “Stay strong, bro! Keep it cranking.” And we mean well. But often what we’re saying is, “keep working harder and harder.”
If we’re not careful, we lose focus of why we’re making the effort and doing the work.
We lose perspective on what is the purpose.
Focus isn’t about greater intensity ... it’s about greater intentionality. Focus is not just about what you’re doing – but also what you’re not doing.
When Jesus went into the house to heal Jairus's daughter, it was packed with negative people. Jesus kicked them all out. That brought focus on the miracle.
Kick out the negative. Get rid of the inconsequential. Release what isn't necessary.
Unpack the baggage we tend to carry around with us. Do some soul cleaning.
Intentional decisions strip away inconsequential distractions.
