Jesus prayed predominantly in three locations. In a garden, in a solitary location, on a mountain. He was a man of process and habit. And He wasn't stressed or anxious about praying. But he often chose places that helped him focus.
He chose environments in sync with his quest to receive wisdom, strategy, and anointing from his Father.
He went "away to a solitary place" while it was dark (Mark 1). At times, he prayed on a mountain, like before choosing the disciples and after feeding the 5000 (Mark 6, Luke 6). The Garden of Gethsemane was most likely a favorite place to pray.
What about us? Sure, we can pray in the car, in the shower, or while walking through a shopping area... but that quiet place of focus and surrender is vital to our spiritual health.
One place that also marked Jesus' life was praying with other brothers...his friends, his disciples, people...
So, while Jesus had times of focus alone, he also often spent time with friends and brothers.
Daniel was threatened to interpret the king's dream or many would die. What did he do? Daniel went to his friends, his brothers in faith, and they prayed all night.
Daniel interpreted the dream. It saved lives.
