That’s what happens when we invest in building strong men!
We often get investments backward. God's economy works differently.
In Jeremiah 29:7, we read, "Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I've carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."
Instead of waiting to receive blessing before we give it, God has called us to take action and work for the success of our communities - even when those communities seem broken or hostile to our values.
Jeremiah was talking to people in exile! They didn’t even want to be in those cities.
But God directed them to work and help those places where they were foreigners.
Have you ever felt like you don’t fit in where you are? God says, help who you can right where you are.
When men minister to men, it blesses whole cities. More fathers love their children.
That decreases strain on social support systems. Men keep their word. That creates greater trust in business and institutions. The list could go on endlessly. The bottom line is that ministry to men fundamentally changes the fabric of a culture.
Take a step to minister to a man. Work to bless your city. The result? When your city prospers, you will prosper.
Give a man a copy of your favorite CMN book. Volunteer at a local school. Grab a brother, or your children, and pick up trash near your neighborhood. Pray for your city leaders by name.
Be a blessing. Love God. Love people.
