Jose was a mess. A bad guy. So bad that his wife Maria prayed every morning, "Dear God, please make me a widow." Wow! She believed he would never change - that her life was better with him dead. We were all stunned as she shared their story.
But God never gave up on Jose.
One day a friend at work invited him to a CMN men's group. He told him it was a success group. How to get ahead in life. (Which is true and a brilliant ask.)
That first evening at that group Jose gave his life to Jesus. As the weeks went on Jose began to see his need to change. And, by the grace of God, the power of the Holy Spirit and the love of a band of brothers he was transformed.
I listened as Maria told the story and through the tears said, "I thank God for that Maximized Manhood group of men. It has restored our marriage, restored our family and renewed our marriage." Jose added, "Yes, and apparently it also saved my life!"
Jose was just a guy. A man without a vision for his life. Rolling through life without a purpose. Angry, drunk, isolated, abusive, lost. Then - Jesus.
Few would have noticed if Jose had drifted off the planet. But Jose was significant to the Lord.
He mattered to God.
What we do to reach men every day matters to someone's life. It matters. At CMN, everything we do is with intentionality. Because we know that men matter to God.
And we know that every partner who faithfully invests in reaching men for Christ is significant. In fact, God promises that those who give, who support the ministry receive the blessing for every man saved, every life changed.
