This is what makes a happy Thanksgiving

This is what makes a happy Thanksgiving
We pray the blessing of God over you as we enter this holiday season. Our friends in the U.S. this week celebrate a wonderful holiday called Thanksgiving, a time for the entire nation to thank the Lord for His providence and provision.

For all of us as we enter this blessed season of the advent of Christ, let's take a moment to remember God’s promises to us as followers. Jesus said: “The Father is with me. I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world, you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world” (John 16:31–33, The Message, emphasis added).

For Christians, the finish is always positive, whether here on earth or on the other side with Christ. Negative situations will not last. Remember: GOD FINISHES WHAT HE BEGINS. WHAT GOD DOES ALWAYS ENDS ON A POSITIVE.

God says through a legally-binding three-part statement in Hebrews that He will not relax His hold on us: For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] (Hebrews 13:5b, AMP)

What a promise! What a glorious, wonderful Savior!  Let's embrace His presence during this season, and share it with the world around us.

I encourage you today to stand fast in the work God has begun in you. What Paul said to the Church at Philippi cannot be improved upon. This is our prayer for you this season:

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:3–6, NKJV)
