There Is No Peace

Peace is not the absence of conflict. Peace is the presence of Christ in the hearts of men... in the middle of the conflict. But there is still war in the hearts of ungodly men, and they are killing Christians.

For our brothers in Iran and the Middle East, there is not only the savagery of war, but there is immense persecution. Bible studies invaded, churches burned, dads dying trying to shelter their children. God has called us to stand with our brothers.

When the angels announced the birth of Jesus, they declared peace on earth. When Jesus spoke to His disciples, He said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives” (John 14:27). The world talks about peace, negotiates peace, and fights for peace, but only Christ can put peace inside a man.

And that is the crisis before us in Iran and across the Middle East. And this is our calling to be part of the solution. Disciple men and change the future of the nations.

Violence cannot heal the human heart. Revenge cannot build a family. Anger cannot disciple a nation. Only Jesus Christ changes men from the inside out. And changed men change families, churches, cities, and nations.

Paul said it in Romans - the hard question: “How shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?”

We are the sent ones. We are not called to watch history. We are called to shape it. We are not called to just talk about the Great Commission. We are called to obey it. We are not just hearers - the CMN Brotherhood are doers.

Right now, leaders in the Middle East are asking for help. A few CMN resources have already been translated into Arabic and Farsi, but the message coming back is clear:

They need the whole toolbox to disciple men. That means eight more books and workbooks must be translated into the two primary languages of that region. Arabic and Farsi.

We've just launched two CMN books in Urdu for Pakistan. Now the door is open wider in the Middle East, and we must not hesitate while men are waiting. We are not those men who fall back into the comfort of our lives - we are the men who rush in to help.

The cost is over $2,000 per book, per language. That adds up quickly. But great missions are never accomplished by just one man doing everything. They are accomplished when every man does something.

Every gift will go to work immediately. There are leaders waiting now for tools, books, and resources to disciple men in some of the hardest places on earth.

Men of God do not just talk about peace. They carry it. They send it. They sow it into the lives of other men. Let's be men of peace by helping raise up strong disciples of Jesus in Iran and throughout the Middle East.
