The World Needs Men Like You

Three things came out of Lions Roar that are vital for you and me. It started with Doug Stringer's very first message.

Doug made these statements:

* "We are men in a divine providential moment in time. We must be those men who do not only run with God, but those men who run to God.

* "Like King David, we must be those men who do not stay in the cave but run out of that cave and defeat the giants. The challenges, obstacles, disappointments, things we go through as men... the reality is -- we have great news!

* "We are living in the days when men are retreating into their caves, into isolation and compromised confusion. Yet, God is calling his men to run again with faith and courage - as an army of men!"

Men like you and me are the answer to a world in desperate need--from rising persecution to cultural chaos.

Across the nations hundreds of men gathered in Dallas, but that was just the tip of the spear. Millions of men in over 100 nations have committed to being men of courage and character. It's called Christlike manhood.

This is how we run to God. This is where we become stronger:

1. Stay aware, but not in fear. Get out of the cave and see the fight. But recognize that Jesus Christ is king, and he is victorious. Lift your head and your heart.

"I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” John 16:33

2. Stay in the Word. This is where we find our foundation. This is our source of hope when the world is dark and desperate. We can get busy, distracted and unarmed. But the Bible is our defensive and offensive weapon. It is protection over our minds and safety for our families. This is where we disciple ourselves into strength.

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

3. Stay connected. Brotherhood in Christ marked the Early Church ... and it was that spirit of brotherhood that made it the most powerful force in world history. The Spirit of God is always about family, health, and wholeness in community. Even the Old Testament wasn't just about a few men or families - it was about the children of God, a nation, a people. We are stronger in community.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35

"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another." Romans 12:10

CMN is a brotherhood of men who are becoming stronger in faith, deeper in conviction, and dangerous to the enemy.

Stay daring. Stay connected. Let's help our brothers around the world. Let's be a brother to our neighbors across the street.

I've got Doug Stringer's opening powerful word for you below. It's a game-changer.

Out of the cave and running!
