Strong in the Heat - Relentless

The tropical heat is brutal in Belize in June. Ray was sweating like crazy as he and a group of men worked on putting the roof on a local church in the Dangriga region of Belize. Working with a group of men from Houston, Ray was a young man who had just come to Christ. It was 2015. Ray was with me, John Bowman, and a team of men from Texas. We were there helping churches in Belize disciple men ... and doing some physical work also.

Ray had been a drug dealer, a gangster on the streets of Houston. He was on his way to a lifetime of crime and prison. But Jesus arrested Ray, and that made all the difference. Working alongside these men, shoulder to shoulder in the heat, Ray made a big decision. To go through the Maximized Manhood classes with John and Bruce Gibbons.

Last Saturday, I watched Ray preach an entire session on becoming a relentless man of God. He was powerful, sharing his testimony and what the Majoring in Men curriculum has done in his life. He said, "That one decision has changed everything in my life." Today, he has four children and just celebrated ten years of marriage.

Ray is why you and I go teach, train, pray, and work. Ray is leading and discipling dozens of men. He's now a full-time pastor at Get Wrapped Church in Houston. His children are growing up in a good family, with a great dad.

Ray is bold in his witness for Christ.
