Show Up With Some Grit

In a world consumed with surface issues, easily distracted by the mundane and glossy gimmicks - we need men who don’t just arrive looking good but show up geared for battle. Men with the guts and determination to live a righteous life ... not only in public but also in private.

When a Godly man shows up, he’s already prayed up. Prayer in private produces power in public. Your family, friends, culture and church need a man who will show up…and show up with some grit. My brother, this is not beyond your reach.

Teddy Roosevelt said only the man in the arena knows the “triumph of high achievement ... or if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly.” Then, “...his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory or defeat.”

James said that the authentic Christian man is one who, “... looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the word, this one will be blessed in what he does.” Want the blessings of God? Do the stuff.

Don’t just hear the word of God, do the word. Be a warrior of faith. A warrior in prayer and a warrior in the arena. It’s a fight, but you were made for it. This is your destiny.

The warrior is not a man of war; he’s a man of peace who understands that peace is always the result of strength. Get up, show up. Be one of the strong.
