Evil wants you to quit. But we are not those men. We are men on a mission … and that mission is Jesus.
We, who are men of righteous intent, seem often stunned by the unrestrained immoral nature of evil. But we must not be surprised and must not live unawares.
The furious corruption of evil never stops … it has no moral center. It is evil.
We are in a fight for the souls of men.
My heart is deeply grieved over the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the murder of the young refugee Iyrna Zarutska, on a train in Charlotte. Added to that, yesterday I again remembered and prayed for the families of the 2,977 people who were killed by terrorists on September 11 in New York City.
Jesus said, “… I will build My church, and the gates of Hell (the powers of the enemy) shall not overpower it [or defeat it or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]” (Matthew 16:18).
The enemy wants us to stop preaching the Word of God, to stop speaking life and freedom over a captive and dying world. But we will not be silent. We are resolute, stalwart men of courage and faith. WE WILL NEVER QUIT.
Jesus said, “The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I have come that you might have life and that life to the fullest” (John 10:10).
Winston Churchill said, "Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision. Courage is the foundational human quality that enables all other virtues and positive traits to be manifested and sustained.”
From a Roman prison, Paul declared:
“And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ.
“And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear” (Phil 1:12-14).
Charlie Kirk said, “If you believe in something, you need to have the courage to fight for those ideas—not run away from them or try and silence them.”
Abraham Lincoln remembered the men who died at Gettysburg in July 1863 with this:
“It is for us, the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here, have, thus far, so nobly advanced.
“It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of devotion that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” (Gettysburg Address, Nov 19, 1863)
Our fight for the souls of men is real. The Kingdom is at hand, and it is now.
Let us rise up as men of God. Resilient carriers of life & peace & restoration.
WE ARE MEN OF FAITH AND ACTION. SPIRIT AND TRUTH. WE WILL NEVER BE SILENT.
JESUS IS TRIUMPHANT. HE IS RISEN! AND WE ARE FULLY COMMITTED.
My faith is in Jesus Christ. He is the answer.
God said through Peter, “In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on the whole earth.
Your sons and daughters will speak life into the culture. Your young men will be visionaries and your old men will have new dreams” (Acts 2:17 my paraphrase).
Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace.
In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]” (John 16:33).
We truly live in a world that needs strong men in tough times. Men who will do the hard work of the Kingdom.
