Pandemics, chaos, and riots … what does a man need to protect himself? He needs the truth of the Word of God. This is the bedrock of carving a righteous path through the days we live in right now. The Word is your centering point in a world out of balance.
We entered a new decade and were met with a worldwide pandemic that has claimed over 100,000 lives in America alone. Unemployment has hit record highs after being at record lows. Domestic violence is soaring, suicides and addictions have rapidly risen. And over the past seven days what began as a protest of violence has devolved into violence and criminality.
People are searching for answers and as men of God, we should be providing them. Unfortunately, for many men, their walk with Christ has not been built on God’s Word. It’s been built on what people say, articles read, podcasts, radio shows and TV shows not founded on Biblical principles. Most men in our world are scripturally illiterate.
Jesus gave us the wisdom of God in the parable about building on a rock or sand. Building on sand may seem okay–until the storm comes. The building is supported by the foundation upon which it is built, not its superstructure. Building a godly life on the sand of scriptural illiteracy is impossible. There will be nothing to stand on when tough times come.
