Lazarus was parked in the center of perplexity. Suspended between earth and eternity.
He was about to die. His best friend could possibly heal him and save his life. But it had been a few days, and Jesus hadn't arrived.
He believed Jesus was the Messiah. He had faith in him. He had seen miracles, witnessed the unexpected, watched as blind men regained their sight. But now, just a few hours walk away, and his friend hadn’t arrived.
What Lazarus did then is a model for you and me. It is the essence of courage. The foundation of confidence. He trusted God. HE TRUSTED GOD.
In the complexities of a crisis - he trusted the Messiah. Trust moved him into peace, and peace gave him courage.
"Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] John 14:27 AMP
Walk in confidence this week. Keep this note close. Read it again. Print it out. Think about it. Get it in your spirit. Let it lift your heart. Write me back.
Lazarus was dead. He came back to life. Jesus arrived - and everything changed.
Jesus has arrived. And everything has changed.
Walk strong, brother.
