Killed For Giving Thanks

Shortly after Nigerian student Deborah Yakubu posted thanks to God online for finishing her exams, a mob of her own classmates brutally killed her and set her on fire. A video of the violent act went viral.

This terrible tragedy is just one example of what our Christian brothers in Nigeria are up against. This is why CMN has been called in. And this is why we’re giving financially to make it happen.

In a brutal epilogue to Deborah's story, a young mother named Rhoda posted that what happened to Deborah was wrong. Rhoda was then accused of the crime of blasphemy. A mob ransacked her neighborhood, calling for her arrest.

After two and a half years of wrenching legal struggle and months of separation from her family, a court finally freed Rhoda, declaring her not guilty.

Christian men in Nigeria face situations like this every day. To turn their nation around, they have asked CMN to come launch a Christian men’s movement across the nation.

Nigeria has powerful enemies of Jesus, and also has strong churches and faith-filled Christian men who are ready to take bold action.

Will you stand with the brotherhood to help them?

We are raising $48,500 by February 15 to send a CMN Team to train faithful Nigerian pastors how to build strong men.

You can be part of this powerful thrust.

  • $100 empowers one leader to train strong men

  • $500 builds five leaders

  • $10,000 strengthens an entire region

The situation is urgent, so please respond today.

JOIN THE BROTHERHOOD IN GIVING

Remember, we are not those men who hear such a story and do nothing. We are those who pray, and then give as we are able.

We are the men of CMN. We rescue men.
