Is A Happy Wife - Overrated?

We were at dinner with Coach McCartney when he royally hammered us with his comment, "Your wife's face is a reflection of your heart." He could have gone all night without saying that! You and I have heard it said, "happy wife, happy life" and while that phrase isn’t found in the Bible there’s a lot of truth in it.

1 Peter 3:7 says, “You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life so that your prayers will not be hindered.”

You and I want to fix things, we want to solve problems, we want to set things straight. But what we don’t often get is that our wife isn’t a weekend project. You won’t find the solution at Home Depot. She’s not a problem to be solved.

If you’re married or if you want to be married someday this quick devotional from Pastor Jurgen Matthesius is a must-watch. In this week’s quick devotional he shows you how to live in understanding with your wife.

And, he gives you the one question you need to ask your wife that will lead to greater unity, respect, and intimacy.
