In a world that seems to spin increasingly into chaos, in a year when our personal worlds seem uncontrollable, it’s important to have a Control Room.
The Word of God reigns even in confusion. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15).
I’m going to talk to you about your Control Room at the CMN Global Summit. It is one of the most important truths of manhood that I have ever learned.
And going to the Global Summit is one of the most important things I’ll be doing in the next few months.
I’m bringing a friend because it’s vital that we carve time out to gather as men, as brothers, to encourage and minister to each other, and to learn from other men. And I'm asking you to do the same. Join us, and bring a friend.
The Control Room is not a place, not even a specific time of day. The Control Room is a condition in which we place ourselves before God. In this condition, we conduct a life-scan. We’re not necessarily praying. We just lay out everything in our lives. Our spouse. Our investments. Each of our children. The work we’ve been given responsibility for. Our issues with neighbors and relatives. The ministry we’re engaged in.
This condition can happen in the early morning, while on a run, late at night on your back porch, on the couch in your office, in the car in your workplace parking lot.
Every man who's going to be a good and godly man needs to find a time to get into this condition, this Control Room, and allow our heart, our soul, our imagination to flow over our life before God.
