The prophet Daniel was a man among men because of his faith in God. It was Daniel’s integrity, character, and trust in God that rallied his captive friends, who advanced with him in esteem and prominence. In the midst of turmoil and chaos, Daniel and his friends stood strong.
Daniel survived a crumbling society and relocation to a foreign land and proved himself a valuable asset to three successive kings. Because he never quit trusting God.
In the book Strong Men in Tough Times, Dr. Cole related a letter from a pastor that had a powerful list of Daniel's attributes.
They were:
-
immeasurable blessing - unlimited influence
-
unhindered persistence - unusual test
-
unashamed boldness - uncommon standard
-
unearthly protection - unblemished faith
We don’t have Daniel to elect to political office, teach the church, or place on the company board of directors, but we do have the spirit of Daniel, the manhood of Daniel, the principles of Daniel, and the example of Daniel from which we can learn and develop as men.
In this present age, we must awaken ourselves to the urgent need to study, restore our love for truth, and renew our reverence for God’s Word.
Never forget one great truth we have taught for decades ... get this in your heart and mind. A man without an organized system of thought will always be at the mercy of the man who has one.
