To focus on faith in God is not to deny reality, but to see life in the fullness of God’s reality. Focus brings clear perspective.
What captures and holds your attention will ultimately control the direction of your life.
Abraham believed in a God who would “speak of those things that are not, as though they are” (Romans 4:17). Abraham did not deny reality. He did not speak of things that are, as though they are not. He spoke of what God can do—the things that are not…yet.
Focus on the possibilities. Focus on the future. Focus on what could be…..
Instead of: “I’ll never …” Say this: “I need to build this capacity in my life …”
Instead of: “I can’t …” Say this: “I need to train for this … “
Instead of: “This is too hard …” Say this: “I am finding out the man I need to be.”
Instead of: “That’s not possible …” Say this: “God will give me wisdom for the right path.”
Focusing on fear shrinks your life. Focusing on failure locks you in your past. Focusing on weakness tempts you to quit. Focusing on lack is just plain depressing.
Focusing on God’s strength gives you BOLDNESS.
Focus will filter your life – either negative or positive, fear or faith, confusion or clarity, defeat or destiny, go forward or stop. Focus on being a bold man of faith and courage.
Let’s not focus on failure, lack, weakness, fear, or impossibilities. Let’s focus on God’s Word that says, “With God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
Let’s focus and get BOLD!
Courage, boldness, relentless spirit … the marks of a man fully committed to life in Christ.
