Christianity: The New Counter-Culture

Nehemiah said, "At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us." That means, “Wherever there’s a fight… meet us there! We fight in the victory of God’s strength!”

Wherever you and I turn, it is increasingly obvious that we are in a battle for the souls of men. The malice of the cultural wars is increasingly hostile.

Christianity is no longer the prevailing worldview in America. Christianity is now the counter-culture in our postmodern world. The sickness of Godless wisdom has blinded the world to the death spiral it is in.

Fatherlessness is the most lethal plague of our era. It will kill more people than Ebola, cripple more people than polio, and victimize more people than malaria.

We live in a world in which the next generation has no “seed” of the gospel. For most children, neither Grandma nor Grandpa nor friends nor any authority figure followed Jesus, belonged to a church, or ever ascribed to a Biblical worldview.

“It isn't that they can't see the solution. It is that they can't see the problem,” said G. K. Chesterton. Finding glory in their darkness, the lost of this world race us closer to the edge of global war, the calculated destruction of the family and the skillful annihilation of truth.

The answer to child abuse, fatherlessness, AIDS, poverty and world hunger is Jesus in the hearts of men. Jesus reveals himself to the world through men and women who are filled with the Holy Spirit, full of genuine and sacrificial love for God and for people.

The world needs men who are willing to go into the fight. Men who will serve others, love their families and stand bold for Christ.

CMN’s banner has always been clear. From Ed Cole’s start almost fifty years ago until today, it has not changed. We men of CMN have been called “to impact the men of our generation with the message that Manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous.” We are CMN, we rescue men.

The battle is clear. It's not political, geographic, financial or governmental - it's a spiritual fight. And it affects everything else. It’s up to us to be men, to act like men, and to fight like men. Men who follow Jesus Christ with full devotion. Men of prayer, word and Spirit.

I'll see you on the frontlines.
