From the start of Lions Roar 2024 to the final time of commissioning and anointing two things were very clear. Our theme, "Born to Serve" resonated in the hearts of men and gave energy to the powerful, forceful, inspiring challenge that is central to our core in following Jesus, "WE ARE CMN, WE RESCUE MEN."
Friday night on the stage in Dallas, Steve Trevino and Fares Abraham stirred our hearts with a call to reach men in the Middle East. It was electric.
The copy for the video reads like a novel. But, it's one that is deadly and daily. Riots / wars / funerals. Repeat. That’s life in the Middle East. But God said, “In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.”
CMN friend and leader Fares Abraham says of his homeland, “What looks to many like a war zone … is in reality a mission zone.” God is moving powerfully in the Arabic-speaking world. We are seeing the genesis of a massive revival as hundreds are turning to Christ. Hundreds of thousands will follow.
CMN coaches like Steve Trevino began in February 2023 to train pastors and leaders in private locations. Those men have trained more leaders in other cities in the Majoring in Men process. Some have taken it as far as Sudan and Morocco.
The spark of a men’s movement is spreading. Arabic men face the same issues you and I do … fatherlessness, fractured families, alienation of the generations, anxiety about the future, depression. Now add to that terrorist groups, tribalism, religious zealots, corruption … they live in a powder keg.
What will change their future? Weapons, peace talks, politics, money? Only the presence of Jesus will change the future of a man,.. or the future of a nation.
